We would like to welcome Stephen Cole to the role of Chief Operating Officer, Faculty of Homeopathy from 1st December 2020.
It feels like a lifetime ago when we said Arrivederci to Dr Sara Eames, but in reality it was just a few months. Sara’s final thoughts as the Faculty’s Operations Manager were… “As I come to the end of yet another Faculty role, I have found myself thinking of the past, present and future of the Faculty. The past is glorious, the present is stable, but what of the future?”
Today we can answer that question as Dr Gary Smyth, Faculty President, the Executive Council, and the Faculty’s membership prepare to welcome Stephen Cole, the Faculty’s new Chief Operating Officer. Stephen will be joining the Faculty in early December. Dr Gary Smyth comments, “we’ve been through a robust and lengthy search to find someone who could fill Sara’s boots. It’s been a challenge, but we’re all looking forward to working with Stephen and building on the vision Sara had for the Faculty’s future”.
So, what of Sara’s vision… She said “I consider that we have 3 main current assets which can inspire our future; a fantastically loyal core membership, a royal patron and most importantly of all a wonderful system of medicine which has never been more sorely needed!”
Stephen’s not blind to the challenges the Faculty faces but as an ex-military man he’s ready to put his back into it. The Government and the NHS may have turned their backs on Homeopathy but the public hasn’t. Patient interest is continuing to grow in Homeopathy and CAM. Now it’s time for us to unite and move forward. Together we can encourage more health professionals to train in Homeopathy and enable more patients to benefit.

I am very much looking forward to working with the staff and volunteers to support our members and raise the appeal and profile of the Faculty in order to re-invigorate our leading role in the practice, education and research of Homeopathy"
