1. Representation

The Faculty of Homeopathy, incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1950, is composed of dentists, doctors, nurses, midwives, osteopaths, pharmacists, podiatrists and veterinary surgeons who integrate homeopathy into their practice. The Faculty represents the interests of these members and offers professional support.  This includes national and international representation through meetings, consultations and media appearances and developing dialogue with governing, educational, registration and funding bodies.  The Faculty has developed tools and resources to support members in a wide variety of ways including advice on setting up in private practice, help in understanding CPD and revalidation schemes, understanding the politics of homeopathy and what it means to members, as well as providing bespoke support for individual situations.

2. Promote your practice on the BHA website

Members of the Faculty who are LFHom level and above can elect to have their practice(s) included in the British Homeopathic Association practitioner directory and the Find a Homeopath directory.

3. Simile newsletter

Keep in touch with your Faculty colleagues through our members’ newsletter which includes the latest news from the Faculty and the global homeopathic community, useful case studies, an update on the newest research, details of upcoming events, and reports from international conferences and gatherings.

4. Homeopathy Journal

Members receive online access (print optional) to Homeopathy journal, the only homeopathic journal indexed by Medline. Homeopathy is an international journal aimed at improving the understanding and clinical practice of homeopathy by publishing high quality articles on clinical and basic research, clinical audit and evidence-based practice of homeopathy. It also promotes debate and reviews homeopathic literature. Click here to access articles.  The Journal has an Impact Factor of 1.524 (1.16 2016) and receives over 100,000 individual downloads each year.

5. Balens Insurance

The Faculty of Homeopathy are extremely pleased to be working alongside Balens Ltd in offering their members discounted rates on insurance products with extremely comprehensive cover. 6. Web resources

All members can gain access to the password protected area of the website where visitors can access a range of resources exclusive to members.

7. Local group network

A network of local groups provide opportunities for CPD and the chance to make contact with other members either socially or to share experiences.  Why not set one up yourself?

8. Events

The Faculty runs a regular programme of CPD seminars and a biennial conference, the Faculty of Homeopathy Congress – all members of the Faculty are entitled to a discounted rate for the Congress. To find out what’s coming up visit the events section.

9. Research

A  culture of research is being fostered within the Faculty’s membership, with plans underway for collaborative research projects at a national and international level.

10. Presentations

We can provide PowerPoint presentations, both for giving introductory talks to other healthcare professionals and to members of your community.

11. Outreach

We can also provide Faculty literature such as the Faculty brochure or Education brochure for members doing presentations or representing the Faculty at various events.

12. Corporate membership of international homeopathic organisations

Members and Fellows receive corporate membership of the leading international homeopathic body European Committee for Homeopathy (ECH) as well as access to 'Homeopathy' (PubMed). The Faculty is represented at the highest level within the ECH and plays an active role in the international community.
